1980 ct70 suspension

Good evening,

Iam looking to update/ improve the suspension on my 1980 ct70. From what I’ve read the stock forks on here are decent. Currently they are very soft and I doubt they have ever been rebuilt or have the fork pork changed. what I would like to do is tear them apart, clean, and reassemble with new seals/oil. Can some one please walk me through the process? I’ve never worked on forks before.

As far as rear shocks I was looking to replace with these, let me know what you think. If there are better ones out there which brands do you recommend?

Both of the rear shocks you posted would be best for a 250+ pound rider. The recommendation depends on how much you weigh.

I have not tried these but they look like a good shock for the money. Ebay item# 232662285572. The color isn't my favorite.
