I picked up this bike for $800 (asking $950 :) ) back in November. Has only 110 original miles on it and has been in storage for it's entire life. Below is the work I have planned, mostly maintenance items, the bike is pretty clean and runs good. The biggest issues that I see are a bit of a gas leak through the fuel valve and the overflow, slight bit of rust in the gas tank, loose/dirty chain.

  • Flush gas tank
  • Clean/lube/adjust chain
  • Replace overflow hose
  • Adjust valves
  • Adjust timing
  • Check/adjust carburetor for overflow (may be leaking gas)
  • Replace gaskets on fuel valve (leak)
  • Replace fuel filter
  • Replace oil filter
  • Replace headlight bulb
  • Exhaust may need replacing, some rust
  • Check battery levels.
  • Rear blinkers not working
  • Replace one decal

Nice buy ! Chains are cheap - I'd replace it. I would also clean & rebuild the carb . Probably gummed up from years of storage . That's really a nice bike .
