Hey folks, purchased this little gem a few weeks ago, 800 Kms on the working odometer, seems mostly original except maybe the indicators, Tail light and some paint in the wheels and engine covers.

Planning on stripping this thing down and doing some minor upgrades and refreshing.

I posted in a couple other forums and looking to the experts around on these bikes to help out.

I love this little thing, around here it’s insanely rare and every ride I get questions and thumbs up about it.

So with that said, I also live in a city that’s rather “hilly”, and I find I’m just dragging my ass around and being more of a pest to motorists than anything.

So to the question.. the great debate over how to get speed. I don’t want to break the bank, and I want to keep the bike a semi auto so my kids can use it sensibly also. Am I better off building the motor to an 88cc and some sprocket changes, or boxing up the OG motor and tossing in a Chinese motor? I don’t want to break any land speed records, I’d like to be able to cruise at 65 kph (40 mph) comfortably, and be able to keep 50 kph (32 mph) on some hills.

Where should I be looking? I’m 195 lbs

I should have added, I’d rather stick with Honda as opposed to putting in a Chinese power plant, but, I need to do what’s best for getting around
