1984 Z50R Petcock thread size

Hi Folks,
Finished lining, body work on my 1984 Z50R Gas Tank and noticed the threads on the petcock are pretty wanked. Antbody know the correct size tap I should use in hopes of restoring?

I saw an aftermarket petcock say it was M14 X 1mm, so I bought a die that size on ebay. I'll post if it worked out.

Yes it worked fine. I didn't have a die holder but was able to start it with my hand and carefully used some channel locks to finish the job.
