Yesterday, 6/30, my buddy Mike and I set out for a long journey on my CT70's. We went 287 total miles looking something like this:
Arlington VA, through Georgetown, DC to Point of Rocks MD on backroads through MD
Point of Rocks to Lucketts VA on RT15
Luckeets VA to Charlestown, WV
Charlestown WV to Front Royal VA
Front Royal VA to Elkins VA on the backside of Blueridge Parkway
Elkins VA to Luray VA
Luray VA to Manassas VA
Manassas VA back to Arlington
We did all byways...no interstate...cruising speed was mostly about 50mph with some areas more or less depending on need. We did some 3000ft elevation passes, toured some wineries, rode through civil war battlegrounds, through two national forests, all over VA horse country, and back to the urban sprawl...all in one day!
Here's a few shots from the ride...enjoy!
