69 ST50 Canadian?

I picked up this in Northern Wisconsin, kind of strange.
The whole front forks are removable, wiring has a disconnect along with the throttle cable, has a down pipe, turn signal switch on the right side, center stand, mounts on forks for a low fender, kilometer speedo, fully covered rear shocks, and holes in the frame for Honda emblems. The tires are 3.50 x10 street tread.
I rolled it through the gears and it's 1 up for 1rst then down for neutral then down for 2nd and 3rd.

I think I'm going to have problems finding parts for this one.

The badge is in Japanese, not Canadian aye? Jap Dax ST50 export. Might have rotary shift. That would mean it will go from 3rd to first if you are not careful.

yup, I was being silly because of the kilometer speedo, but it was near the border . I think someone in the service might have brought it over.
I did have a old 1960's small Kawasaki that was rotary shift years ago. Got rid of that in a hurry very scary!!!
