cam journal wear

First let me say I am a long time reader of this site but this is my first post. I haven't had to post because all my questions were found by searching up until now. I am working on restoring a k3 and would like to know what kind of wear tolerance is there between the cam and the journals in the head. I can get a .003 feeler gauge in there. There is no listing for these measurements in the Clymer manual. I don't want to replace the head if this is a normal tolerance. By the way this site is fantastic.

Speaking from my XR 75/80/100 experience (the king of worn cam journals), the 75/80/100s original ID of the camshaft holder
(journal) is 20.008mm to 20.063mm. Wear limit is 20.15mm. I'd suggest your move from feeler gauge to caliper as the width of the feeler gauge indicates the lash to be much greater due to measuring a radius.
