Hello all
I would like to convert my CL90 to 12 volt cdi and was wondering if anyone knows if this cdi would fit ?
I have used this brand on atc70’s previously and very happy with the results.

Thank you

It's a 6 volt stator. You would order it with whatever flywheel you are using. The only way to get an answer is to contact them and tell them what you flywheel you have and what bike it is.

If you click on the link you posted and take a closer look at the Features listed, it is a 6V stator, as Old CT pointed out above

Also, the CL90 is an inner rotor-style, completely opposite of the CL70 stator above, as seen HERE

CDI is pretty simple actually, when you think about it. You need a pulse given off by a magnetic trigger. This would be on the flywheel. As it goes around, the pickup coil sends a signal to the CDI box, and generates the juice and tells the spark plug when to fire. 50 and 70 cc motors have a magneto coil inside the flywheel which does the same thing only using points. Your Cl90 has its ignition up in the head by the cam, not inside the flywheel, so this system would not work. You might be better off trying to fit the CDI from a CT110, which would involve using the flywheel and stator from that bike. Honestly, in my opinion, it's not worth it, points may be old fashioned, but they're bulletproff, reliable, and easy to service, especially on a 90.
