Clutch problems

Hello everybody. Got some more questions. I just recently put on the 88cc kit, nre valves, cam, carb, the works. I also put in a high volume oil pump. Thats were my trouble started. Like the complete idiot I am, I got the clutch disassembled, and the pump put in, but Im not completely sure that I have it put together perfectly. About half of the time, when kicking the bike over the clutch doesnt catch and theres nothing there. Also, the bike wont go out of neutral. The shift lever is solid as a rock. It wasnt like this before tearing into the motor, but now it is and I cant figure out how to fix it. Im really hoping that this is the result of a poorly tuned clutch adjustment nut. As for the shift lever..... Help me out

you should pull the cover off the right side where the throw out bearing adjuster is pull off the push arm and take a punch and hammer at tap the bearing to see if it goes in and out ...if it doesnot you have to pull it apart and start over this happend to me once i did not put it togeather right

Another possibility is that the clutch center isn't installed correctly. Getting a clutch reassembled properly, with everything aligned/indexed, then installing it on the crank snout can be trickier than it may seem. Keeping all of the discs/plates aligned to allow the clutch center to seat fully and engage everything is a ticklish process. It'd be a lot easier to demonstrate than to try to explain, unfortunately we have to contend with time & distance.

The clutch center should be fairly loose and the disc assembly should compress easily to the point where the main snap ring gets installed. If not, something's out of place and you'll have to do some disassembly to figure it out.
