Craigslist and my HK1 Curse???

Twice now! And HK1's are on top and alone on my most desired list...

First was a yellow '72H in Sacramento. Ad stated $800 yadda dadda. Looked good. Said he would go $700 so I told him I would be coming to get it a few days later. But it just wasn't to be. Get an email stating:

"...Remember me asking you if you wrote the email a week and
a half back offering $750 cash? Well that guy called yesterday right
before/same time and like you left a message. He said he would go the full
price of $800.00...I'm not trying to start a bidding war but..."

Gee, thanks. Understand - kinda. Result: No Bike!

Then last night (and local no less!!!) I find:

Made deal. First caller (I was approximately 20 minutes after ad!) Was to pick it up this evening. Again, it just wasn't to be. I contact him today to set a meeting place:

"Oh there's a problem (or some such). Guy called after you and offered $450. I really need the money..."

Needless to say I didn't get this bike either... same result...:102:

feel your pain. i had 2 cts like this and a few misc. like a bunch of parts. ect. the 2 bikes i bought the guy took all the good stuff he needed (tires ect.) after showing me it was all there then sold it to me. hell though $40 for one running and one decent bike in need of parts? ill take that.

damn too bad you dont live out here i keep lookign for parts same guy responds with a whole running A1 bike just missing the crome aside from fenders. has a brown seat. he wants 200 for it but i have 5 bike and no space lol. he keeps advert. then pulling then emailing me. ive seen him riding it....i wonder why noone has bought it?
