All you need is a short (about 2.5") bracket for the back and a new exhaust donut gasket. Problem is that there is no factory shield for the back, and yes, the damn thing gets pretty hot! Don't ask me how I know

I have no shield on my aftermarket exhaust also - I think my exhaust is made for a crf 50 - Yours should work - I made a post on exhaust awhile back and TrailPunisher posted some pics of his exhaust, which is now the same as mine - Its a cherry bomb style exhaust - Basically a header, hehe - I love the sound for offroad but I may take it off some day and throw on my Z 50 if I do alot of constant throttle riding - This exhaust does get loud - BTW I have been burned by both style exhausts on my bike - original and aftermarket - Finally rem to wear long socks cause thats the only place I'd get burned - damn pant legs used to always come up - Don't think it will ever heal :D

here is mine - it shows some of the mods that I did to it.
Moved the bracket back & re-welded it, then welded the center bracket to the pipe - so it basically is bolted and supported in the middle. then added a peice of flat steel and welded a threaded spacer part off the xr50 pipe for the front part of the CT70 gaurd to bolt to (mine was missing the clamp to it anyways).

then I used the original thearded spacers off the CT70 pipe and welded them on the XR50 exhaust canster so that the two rear screws lined up. Then used another peice of flat steel and threaded spacers (off the CT70) and welded it on the tube part of the XR50 pipe.

Also - I had to custom bend the CT70 guard so that it somewhat matched the flow lines of the XR50 pipe.

It was pretty easy and looks pretty clean and saved me from buying a high dollor pipe = for now.

The complete pics are on this thread.

Anyone tried the st-90 exhaust on the ct-70 for more power?
Also how are the new 50crf exhaust working out power wise?
