Five speed Dax motor?

I recently found a video on youtube of someone in the UK drving a st70 that has a five speed transmission. Anyone here seen a five speed before?

I have a 5 speed in one of my bikes (ZB50).

Takegawa and Kitaco make them but they aren't cheap and if you go with a big-displacement engine (124cc out of the factory Honda cases), over time you'll shatter 1st gear kicking them over.

Make sure you talk to someone knowledgeable before you make a purchase as if it's going in a 6V engine, you need some additional supporting parts to make them work. (12V kicstart shaft, grinding of the cases, etc.)

Honda UK had a 5 speed in a model called the SS50.Hard to find but alot like our S65 model.However early models of it had a 4 speed.

My ZB will eventually be for sale. I have 4 minis and can only ride one at a time.

It will be done by next spring with a high 4 figure pricetag.

The SS50 gearbox is also known to be weak when coupled to a 108-124cc engine and gernade. Replacement parts when it does break are very hard to find these days.
