Footpeg springs

Hello Everyone, some of you may remember me, Iam building a topaz orange 73 ct70, I have not posted in awhile as I have been trying to get the motor rebuild done and its also car show season, well anyway Iam back to work on the ct70 and my question is how do the front foot peg springs go in? do they hold the pegs in the up or down postion, any pics would be great as its been so long I have forgot.I will get some updated pics of the bike up soon. Serrated type peg? Springs hold 'em down so they spring up and then return to normal position if you were to hit shrubs, stumps, etc.
