That looks great! I was hoping to be this far along, but have a couple hundred parts sitting in my garage waiting for me to work on them...

Can you share who did your PC work ? That is a very nice looking job. The frame was obvioulsy well-prepped. Assuming you are using a new Honda CRR bucket with that.

Looks like a K1/HK1 frame and forks. If so, the bucket will be black. Agreed, it's a nice paint job. I remember how stoked I was when mine came back freshly painted.

The company name is Powder Pro Coating Services,Inc. 2500 Hancel Pkwy. Mooresville In 46158 (317 831 5911) Dannie Davis. Its a K1 I had them do all the black to and its very nice.I took the frame in Monday and got it back Wednesday.I would have had weeks of time in a paint job and it would have cost more in materials and time and it would be very hard to have made it look that nice.I ve got 2 other cts that Im doing after this one and 2 other vintage Honda CB s that Ill take there, and they are right down the street.

Thanks for answering all mt IM's Bullitt. I think I will give him a try. I have to go to Mooresville next week anyway. I can blast all the smal parts, but can't fit the frame in the cabinet. Did you blast your frame, or did they do it for you?

OK. One last question. Did you remove the swing arm bushings, or leave them in? I've seen a couple of threads that people said it's OK to leave them in.

I coat an average of one swingarm a week with the bushings still in place. No issues. Another member here did a more scientific test where he baked one for an hour and it came out fine.

I saw the tread where he baked the bushing. Didn't know if some coaters use higher temps. I really don't know anything about powder coating.

Gary actually over cooked it with his casserole test. 400 is the max temperature of any powder currently on the market. Many are lower temp than that. The part only spends 10-13 minutes at that temperature during the cure cycle.

This may sound dumb, but does that mean if I get the powder I can coat small parts in my moms oven? lol
