Help on dating ct70

I have a ct70 last registered as a 1972 frame# ct70274496, engine# cte70274135. It has the full chrome muffler guard. Build date is 6/71 is it a 71 or 72? Thanks for any help

71. Vin is 6 digits after CT70XXXXXX if it was a 72 it would have 7 after CT70

Yep, it's a late-production K0 probably around the end of June. The latest D.O.M. I can recall seeing was 8/71, with the highest VIN beginning CT7028xxxx and that was probably early August. K1/HK1 production began 09/71.

With the engine SN only being 364 away, it's definitely the original.

yep, six digit VINs are 1969 -1971.

There use to be a nice identification web page but it's now a 404 Error.. Anyone have a working i.d page? CHP has a brief one but missing engine numbers and other details.
