Honda Z50A-K1 questions

Hi,

I am very close to finishing this restoration, but am stuck in a couple of parts. Hope you can help me with my questions below.

1) What is the original colour of the exhaust clamp. New ones are black but I suspect the originals weren't.

2) Does anyone have a clear photo of the top of an original K1 tank that shows exactly where stickers/decals were placed and which ones were on there.

3) What type of finish is the aluminium steering yolk? I know the brake plates and hubs were a brushed finish, but not sure what the yolks were.

4) I am not happy with the finish of my right hand side cranckcase cover, is it straightforward to remove this or are there steps I need to take before removing it ie drain oil...?

I am sure I have more but would really appreciate it if anyone can help with the above.

cheers

Peter

The right side crank cover can be difficult to remove thanks to rusted-on Phillips screws. Once the case is off, some clutch stuff immediately falls out as the case is holding a few things in place. Be a good idea to get a manual when reassembling it.

As for the RH cover, I've heard that oven cleaner is a good way to get those things new looking.
