So this is what the ones look like on my project bike. Someone hammered them in and bent the snot out of them to put a front number plate of some sort on it.
I think these are too far gone to do anything with so my questions are:
1. If I fab up something new and weld it to the fork, will that hold?
2. Are these straight off the side edge of the tube?
I am thinking some simple metal should be all I need since these don't appear to be threaded holes. I figure I can throw a bushing of some sort between the light bucket and the ear if needed.
The blue ones are what I am working with but I am using this orange one as a reference for the direction of them from the tubes.
