Is anyone here familiar with these Madass bikes?

this is the first time I've seen an ad for NA. I've seen them on a couple of UK/EUR sites..they are gaining some parts too like jug/cyl kits......they certainly look interesting...they must be quick, as there's not much to them...they look light..

With an advertised 30 MPH top speed I couldn't see plunking down $1800+ to buy one. A mini-trail 70 does better than that stock, and with a few judicious mods can go quite a bit faster. If you want to get really carried away just find out what Patrick did to his, . . . see the "Fastest" engine? thread. That mini of his RIPS!! and he's got the proof to back it up.

Stock they come with a 50cc motor. Any of the clone motors that fit the CT would bolt up. They are actually quite heavy, though I have only sat on one at a local shop. They are really tall in the saddle, but are really, really cool.

You can get either a 4 speed manual or a CVT tranny like a scooter.

There is an electronic limiter built in, which can be removed easily, so the top speed can be improved just with that.

I am thinking one of these with a hot NICE motor in it would be a blast.

If you have some extra money and can figure out how to import one of the bigger brother . . .

There is a local Suzuki dealer nest to me who sells them. One of the mechanics at their shop told me that the 49cc model was not too impressive. We have a lor of steep hills in Old Quebec City and some off them he was not able to make it up  So I guess best to go with a 125cc upgrade even before you walk out of the shop. The only reason they sell them is because you are able to apply tags for a scooter. Being 49cc cost $85.00 vs $460.00 as soon as you have a clutch and are over 50cc:mad: So maybe in Quebec we will soon see people pushing these things up the hills.
