Hello. This is MOPAC and I am new to this forum. I am looking to obtain a newer model CT90 or 110 in good riding condition within 60 miles of my home in Agoura Hills, CA 91301 (Southern California) because I do not have a truck or hitch receiver rack and hope to be able to ride it home. I would like to set it up for two-up riding with my girlfriend. It appears that I can get much higher capacity rear shocks (800 lbs.) and a high weight capacity tires (Shinko Golden Boy) which supposedly will hold 386 lbs. each at 41 PSI. I hope to hear from anyone with advice. Thank you

A"newer" model will still be 40+ years old. A CT90 or 110 is not the best bike for two up riding. It's not comfortable, you will feel cramped and your girlfriend will not enjoy the ride for long. It will also be underpowered for that much weight. No special tires or shocks will fix that. That being said, for $2-3k there's plenty of nice CT's out here in so cal. But for the same money, I would chose a used 250 Rebel, Nighthawk, or a Honda PCX 150 scooter. If you insist on have a classic, consider a '70's CB or CL 175.
