More expert help needed - Z50 Tank mount

Hello again! I have another question for you experts, or those with an accurate measurement!. My 69 Z50 K1 had a homebrew tank mount made with a piece of all thread and two nuts. I have since removed it and am left with two holes in the frame. First I was thinking my frame should have the flat bar for the rubber mounts, I could be wrong and it's supposed to have the round bar. Either way can anyone provide an accurate location where the mounts are to be located and welded? I'll try to load some pics of the mess!

I can take mine off and measure but it won't be until later this afternoon/evening. Mine has the pins. Once the tank mount rubber and the the tank is on you won't be able to tell if you have the flat bar or the pin mount but I think yours would have been the bar mount- but when you look at your second picture real close you don't see any welding that looks like a flat mount was there. The welding was always sloppy

Thanks for the offer to help Gary. If it was a flat mount, someone did an excellent job of removing the welds. It doesn't make sense because I can't see whoever would put allthread in there would do such a nice job grinding the area. I can fab a round pin in the lathe no problem, I just want to put it in the right spot!

Thanks again,

Gary

Ok Gary here you go- I took this bevel gauge and made sure it was 90 degrees to it's self. Then I held it up to the frame sliding the one edge as shown so that it touched the steering neck at the level of the pin making sure to keep the same distance away from the frame in front and behind the pin but of course making sure to measure from the frame tube on either side and not on a weld. I came up with 3 and 5/32" to the center of the pin.

Again Gary thank you so much for the help, that was a lot of effort to check that measurement. You don't know how much I appreciate it. I will go measure mine and see what I am up against.
