My 70 was Stolen!

Hey guys please keep your eyes out for my 1970 CT70H. It was stolen from my house in Pittsburg, Kansas. It has an antique plate OP 70 I will get the VIN up soon. Please contact the pitt police at 620-231-1700 or myself 316-806-0639

That makes me sick about a**holes who have to take other peoples property. It even makes me more upset when the bike in question is the exact same model & color as mine. Excuse me while I go in the garage and make sure it is locked up.

so sorry too here. i had my rare 1984 z50j stolen from me back in 2008 here in roseboro, nc 28382 & it hasn't turned up yet..

OP: That's kind of what I thought. You just can't leave these bikes for the taking because that's exactly what will happen.

For whatever reason, joyriders often get a kick out of dumping things into ponds or lakes. I've seen it happen a few times around here. It might be worth your time to check any nearby bodies of water.

Yep, these little bike are getting crazy popular...Whats next a bike jacking? I'm thinking seriously about getting my CCW permit for my Kel Tec P-3At. Maybe lo-jack device could be installed....:cc_hang: In the old days they would hang you if you stole a horse....!!
So been a while....but got my 70 back! Got a call from the town close to where it was stolen. Police said a guy brought it in to have the VIN ran because he was looking at buying it from his buddie and wanted to make sure it wasn't stolen!, they ran it and the cop was like, um we have to take this! Cop said it seemed like it got passed many times.
But.... I had already sold it back to insurance, so I called Progressive and found out where it would be going. They picked it up and took it to an auto auction, place happens to be right outside my home town... but to bid you have to pay a $500 fee to "register". Well turns out a guy I used to work for in high school buys cars from there all the time, so I asked him to bid on it for me.
Bid came up and I got it back for $850 out the door, progressive gave me $1500... oh and it was in perfect condition, other then a stripped spark plug and they took the mirrors off... so they stored it for me for a few years and I made $650!
I actually got it back last October, but just thought to update this thread. Now its up in Michigan where I moved to after college and I zoom it around the neighborhood, but I make sure its back in the garage every night now!
