Hello all.
Just found this site and was glad to become a new member.
I bought a 1971 CT90 roller about 3 months ago (no engine or wiring) and am just about finishing it up.
Put a Lifan 125 from Tbolt in it. Using a VM20-273 carb with stock CT110 intake and exhaust from DRATV. Set-up as a street only bike with Michelin Street Pilot tires (80/90-17) and a 17 front sprocket. Did my own wiring "harness" from scratch.
I am in Denver and so the carb has to be set up fairly lean compared to lower altitudes, which I guess will be good for gas mileage. But, likely because of my restricted intake and exhaust, I am not really pleased with the acceleration or top speed. Even with the extra cc's it seems just about like my previous stock CT90.
I am considering changing out to a less restrictive intake and exhaust that more closely matches the engine port sizes. Any input is welcome.
Thanks,
Goob
