well today i kicked ole yeller to life. third kick with no choke & it fired right up (mid 50's today). idled nicely too. only put just over 2 miles on it in the 20 minutes i rode it. then let it cool off just a bit, drained the oil & filled it with fresh oil for round 2 of the break in process. felt like a kid again during the 20 minutes i got to ride. was not allowed to have anything with a motor when i was a kid. i fell in love with the ct 70 when my neighbor took me for a ride on her ruby red ct 70 at 5 yrs. old. i'll get more pics. of ole yeller after i finish gettin the engine broken in & it all detailed up .had to stop & get a pic with the first mile showin on it since a full nut & bolt restoration.

i thanks cj! i got the bike oct of 13 & took the engine outta it jan 14. shipped it to motoenzo & waited 8 months for it to get back home. took the rolling chassis to k&s restoration in spring, tx. back in march of this yr. picked it up in oct & started final assembly. i had purchased most of the parts needed when i tore it down & just needed a few small pieces of the puzzle to get it done. overall i quite pleased on how it turned out.

overall the bike feels good. need to tweek the brakes a bit for better stopping. ya enzo tuned the carb. on the engine when he test run it. he tunes the carb. to be run with no baffle. three kicks (by hand) on a mid 50* day with no choke & it idled perfect. sounds sweet too.

Looks fantastic. I have a CYS K1 in the garage somewhere and am starting to like that color more and more.

it took 8 months for body work, paint, chrome & reassembly to a rolling chassis. was quoted 8 weeks on both. maybe i'm using a different calender!

Yep, i have a CYS HK1 (in pieces) for now, has the orig paint. After a while that color grows on you and totally reminds me of the 70's era... pretty cool stuff.

my bike was in relatively good shape body work & paint work wise before i decided to do a total resto. on it. if i had any sense i'd have left the paint alone. but it's done now & i'm mucho happy with the way it turned out!
