Original 1971 CT70?

It has a aftermarket seat cover, the front brake actuator has a funky dull finish like ''cast blast'' spray paint. Rims were redone and several bolts are non ''8'' like the cradle bolts that's a quick glance at what I can see from these very lame pictures. The head and intake side covers redone all look suspect with a funky dull finish. The intake on a original has a brushed look with a clear coating that yellows over time. Look at the inside of the plug guard finish. Not stock! The engine may have been out or all apart...I don't think it's a 4500 dollar bike like the buy it now suggests. The seller didn't even bother to clean the dust and dirt off it before the pics were taken... Not a good sign. RUN! Away, that is.

Hard to see much serious detail in those crappy pix. Was that by design? This machine has been fluffed for feebay, it's a question of how much. The seat cover is stitched...OEM had heat-pressed seams...as OC pointed out. Why was the original replaced on such a low-miler? The speedo dial is a bit faded, for an indoor-stored & displayed specimen. Those cable ties, on the handlebars, should be white nylon...not black. The end of the muffler looks too clean. HTF did it remain perfectly clean & soot-free for better than 500 miles? It begs the question...what is the true mileage? That speedo could have come from another bike. And, that "grab handle" pegged the needle on my bullshit detector...no CT70 EVER had one, as-delivered.

I don't see $4500 worth of bike here, either.

Without seeing this machine firsthand, I'd be highly suspicious.:39:

Yeah, I caught the cable ties and the grab handle which lead me to suspect it. I hope the buyer knows what they are getting into...

I hate those aftermarket seat covers that have more than 10 pleats. Noticed all the above and also the carb boot clamp is missing and a fuel line clip is hanging below the carb. This guy has had this apart to prep it for some fool and his money:21:
