What was an H worth new back in the day? I have a friend who is a graphic designer and I might have him reproduce a handlebar tag for my restoration. I would like to put the msrp on it somewhere. Thanks Tim C

how times change… go back in time and get a 4 speed m22/LS6 1970 chevelle SS for $4000, OR you could buy one now for a casual 6 figures… nobody can predict what gains value faster than inflation, or what will be in demand in the future. i'm sure 350 bucks was still a fat stack of cake back then. i really wouldn't know, i was -14 years old.

In 1972 I was working for the NYC Transit System as a conductor in the subway. I made $180/wk. In 1967 I worked as a cleaner for Pan American Airways at $100/wk. When my dad got married in 1935 his job paid $18/wk.
