I just painted 2 ct70's in Candy Gold. They were previously blasted and sanded, so they started the process in bare metal. Epoxy primer then a coat of sandable primer and several hours of sanding to smooth the finish. Then 2 coats of silver base for the Candy. It took 5 coats of HOK Candy Gold to cover. Then 2 layers of gloss clear to finish them off. After a long day (10 hours) they're done and hanging to dry. They look great! BUT There has to be an easier process to paint these bikes. The factory couldn't have spent this amount of time and painted that many layers to complete these bikes. I have 2 Emerald Green H's to restore next. Is there an easier way????
