How do the rings look, any visible damage? broken? Were the rings installed in the engine properly? Did you measure ring end gap with rings in the cylinder prior to installing? What shape is the cylinder in? How long has the 88cc kit been in the bike?

rings look ok, they are alittle blackish cylinder wise it's in good shape and the 88cc kit has been on since '07 i believe and everything was installed correctly when we first it on

but we had to take the head off once to replace a bent valve and that was it and then around 8/09/09-8/25/09 somewhere in there it started to burn oil and i could tell cause my daddy was riding and i was standing right behind him when he hit the throttle and all you could see was blue smoke coming from the muffler

sounds like you need to change both valve guides and the valve stem seal.dr atv has them.i would also get new valve springs just to complete the job.

Well even if there was carbon or the seats werent sealing properly thats still not gonna fix your burning oil problem. If a guide is bent then its possible oil is entering either the intake runner or the exhaust side, the oil is still gonna get inside the chamber, and in time carbon up the valves again. You need to take a look inside both ports of the head and see if you spot oil drips or stains from where the valve comes out of the guide. As PC said get all new guides and new seals.

i took some carb cleaner and sprayed inside the part where the valve springs are and looked on the other side and it leaked through what does that mean:39:
