I do not believe it is a carb issue. There is a big difference in ''trying'' to run and actually running for 4-5 seconds. If the ignition was good to go now, it would. Time to get the right stuff. There is a decent looking Hitachi 4spd stator for sale right now cheap enough, you would have to find a flywheel to match it.

I really don't think its the stator. I add fuel into the head. No carb attached. It wants to run but dies of starvation. I put the carb on, I doubt the fuel is getting to the head. Its a no go. I really think its the carb or a fuel issue.

It's on ebay. Item# 253436418854 dacall2012 is the seller. It is the 4 speed Hitachi version. $79 shipped. You won't find a better price on these, in this condition. Looks pretty good from here. You will need the matching Hitachi 4 speed flywheel with the advance weights on the inside. I recommend both seals be replaced on this, if you buy it. This is the 4 speed version that they have a rebuild kit available new unlike the Mitsu setup. The flywheels come up from time to time at a reasonable price, like 75 to 100 shipped.

The correct flywheel is #152937370652 $93 or B/O! If you snooze you will lose.

@OLD CT I also noticed when kick starting, the kick starter would slip and not engage. LIke your able to kick it without any resistance. Is my clutch slipping? its a H model, where can I adjust it.

I know it all too well.The clutch fiber discs are contaminated and most likely regular car oil was used at one point, or the bike sat a looong time. I have never been able to adjust the slip out by adjustment alone. It's time to put new discs in and use 4 stroke ''wet clutch'' friendly oil only. When you take them out they probably won't look all worn out but when you put the new discs in it will stop the slipping.
