Quick Question Lifan vs. Zongshen YX chargin systems

Busted the stator plate on my YX140 Frankenbike when I threw the chain, and received my replacement ebay stator plate today. The stator that came off had one yellow wire which goes to the rect, which means it had a half wave charging system. The picture of the replacement showed two yellow wires, and the actual one I got has one yellow and one pink wire. I think that means it is a full wave charging system, each wire represents one leg of the sine wave. I believe that is how Lifan engines work. If I just hook up the yellow wire as before, am I correct in assuming that would be a half wave as before, and if I run the pink wire to the rect as the other leg it will be a full wave. Is this correct? I know I've read somewhere, that some stators have a wire just as a lighting coil for the headlight. Can someone enlighten me. I have been using a 4 wire rectifier with only 3 wires, red, green, yellow.
