Working on a CT70K1 and replaced bulb with new Chinese 6v. 3w. For speedometer. It was working, I started bike and saw that headlight varies with throttle, is that right? then new bulb was out.
Is there a regulator? Or bad bulbs?

Sounds like a bad battery or no battery. Fire the bike up and check the charging voltage at idle and revving.

Brand new battery from CHP. Will check voltage.

Make sure the battery pins are correct and there are no wiring issues.

Battery voltage at idle is 6.16v. Revving is 6.60 v.

Did you check for the presence of AC volts at the battery with the engine revving? If the diodes in the rectifier leak, it won't be good for the battery and if its very much, it won't be good for the lamps. And head lamps are expensive if they are original.

Thank you for the impute. The rectifier is original. How can I check for AC with my multimeter?
