Yeah they are different. The original ones have slots towards the front of the pipe where the new ones have circles. I seen a nos one a few years ago sell for $300.....

And they are a bee-otch to repaint. I tried several times to tape 'em off and do the black paint thing where it belongs. Finally just ordered the new ones. Appear the same but like RR stated have the holes instead of the slots.

$300? Wonder if I can get that for the two black powder coated ones I have...:39::13::3:

Finally got around to getting some more pics of the bike completely done. Before i was waiting on a carb rebuild kit. I finally got the carb on there, rode it for 4/10 of a mile, drained fluids, and tucked her away in the house!

I was able to repaint mine. Taped it off and it came out pretty good. Just time consuming with the taping.
