I am currently rebuilding a Honda ST-90 and have a couple of questions
which I would GREATLY appreciate if you guys could help in any way. Attached
are a couple of pictures. The first picture is a piece which I found after
I tore the motor apart. I dont know where it goes and so far, while
putting it back together I can not figure out where it would go. Do you
recognize this part? In the second picture, is a gasket/copper piece
which I am wondering if this is the headgasket for the cylinder to head. I
bought a complete gasket kit off ebay and this is the only part that would
fit as the headgasket, which I think is kind of weird. Thanks in
advance!

Is that first piece made of rubber?

If that 2nd picture is of the head gasket, all I can say is that it looks nothing like the one on the ct70.

What is with the st90, anyway? Considering that honda made very little changes in their ct 70s over the years, at least as far as engine/transmissions go, the st seems to stand out by virture of honda deciding to try out some new things. They didn't stick with it long, though.
