I have a 1972 uk st70 k0 (looks like a US ct70 small wheels etc)
and i need to know where the stickers/decals go - ive worked out the engine size ones and the "tank" ones any ideas about the the others in the kit. patents, helmet, battery tube, transport instructions, helmet warning etc.

The ST models differ in a number of subtle ways and, unfortunately, I'm no expert on them - especially where decals are concerned. That said, here's the decal setup for a 1972 CT70 K1: helmet lock decal goes just below the helmet lock on the LH side of the frame; battery breather warning sticker goes on the top of the tail light bracket; helmet safety reminder goes on the LH side of the frame, just ahead of the seat, butted-up to the trim piece; GVW decal goes on the chainguard, near the front; VIN tag goes on the RH side of the steering tube.

I've seen ST70 VIN tags on the RH side of the frame, near the rear brake switch mount. This is different from any CT70 model ever sold in the US, even the size of the metal plate is different (smaller). Go by the placement of your frame's VIN number. If it's stamped into the RH side of the steering tube, then your tag goes on the RH side of the frame; if your VIN is stamped into the LH side of the frame, near the chainguard, then your VIN tag goes on the steering tube.
