My greatest concern is moving into an area, then not being able to find work. I feel my chances are better where I'm headed, plus my brother and his family are an hour or so away. The lake's nice too, with three other lakes nearby; that's important, having recreational opportunities close to home. The town I've chosen is a county seat, which means everything I need is right there: gubmint buildings like the courthouse (deeds & records), DMV, Walmart SuperCenter, and other stores & services. The homes are reasonable too, I think I can be quite happy in one of the houses I'm checking out, with a big ol' yard front & back for the kittehs... those little varmints. I'm hoping I can spring Wingnut outta jail before I leave, and take him with me when I go. I'm talking to a realtor in Missouri, and I'm gonna set things up so I can move in quickly, 10-4? The trip will be tough with three cats, but it can be done, and I have a friend about halfway across, so I may take a break with him and his family en route, somehow securing the cats in a room or garage or whatever. I want this to be the last move I ever make, as far as relocation goes, which is why I've spent two months doing meticulous research. I mean meticulous too, right down to demographic charts and census figures. Hey, my new county is 97% white, LOL... that'll make for a refreshing change, believe me. No more living in Mexico for this hand, AYE??? Well, back to "RED DAWN" and an Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider, I noticed that Academy Award winner in the listings... [QUOTE="Coastal Redneck, post: 147090, member: 11287"] Yeah, crisis averted... too bad, because that area has a lot going for it otherwise. My greatest concern is moving into an area, then not being able to find work. I feel my chances are better where I'm headed, plus my brother and his family are an hour or so away. I'm hoping I can spring Wingnut outta jail before I leave, and take him with me when I go. I'm talking to a realtor in Missouri, and I'm gonna set things up so I can move in quickly, 10-4?
