Like an ADULT PLAYGROUND minutes from my house, LOL. Well, with the ride in on a dirt bike and all, I can be hiking up toward the crags within the hour... works for me!!! If I can't have the ocean here, I might as well have a BAD@$$ CLIMBING VENUE with heaps of hiking, trail riding, camping, partying in the wilderness with no badges in sight, etc. Funny thing, I didn't really consider the Stronghold as a factor when I chose my home in Benson, but I've come to appreciate it more and more, enjoying all those fine "reverse sunsets" when the afternoon sun illuminates the crags with a golden orange glow... it's a very beautiful area, the Stronghold & the Dragoon Mountains, yet I have at least four or five other ranges within striking distance for recreational purposes, LOL.
