Title history report.

I've found free searches in the past to check Vin numbers. They usually just tell you if the bike has been titled...most were not ever titled.
But I'm looking to find a service that will show a better report. I have 2 90s CT70s that I'm sure would have been titled right from new. I'd like to know when and where they were last titled and or registered...etc.
Would also want the service to work for our older bikes with 10-11 digit Vin numbers.

Preferably, I would like to buy a one month subscription, then run reports on ALL of my bikes...print them...for future/forever reference.

Anyone have advice?

Many states I have noticed have a “vehicle record request” or similar system, and laws dedicated to asking for other peoples title information. (Public disclosure) Most are very specific in wanting to know why you want the info. Some are free or want a fee included. I have run these reports in many states with no luck. Here is an example of the one in my home state….

We need one of these forms for a 3 year registration process they have.
The purge the records here every 6 years So what I get is “no record found”.

Seems like nobody holds on the to records for a long time. If you suspect it was from a general area you can go to each states website and request the information.
Never heard of a service like you are describing for a national search.

The 91 I bought within the last 6 months, here in Michigan.

And the 93 has a eBay frame, but I'm swapping it onto a different, better eBay frame, that I THINK came from here in Michigan too.
I'll end up with a bare 93 frame that I might like to title too...it came from out of state, thru ebay
The original 93 frame was destroyed...I still have it.
The original 93, I bought in a box, along with ½ of a K4, about 10 years ago I'll bet.

I really just need to know WHEN these were last titled or registered. Then, figure out how long the Mi. SOS keeps them on the books or whatever. So I can hopefully title them easily and right here in my state.
Even to go thru Vermont, I'd like to know for sure that my bikes are clear of the system.
I have a...different bike, with a Indiana title... It was signed off, incorrectly, a couple owners back. But if it's out of the system, I think I can just declare ownership and apply for a new title.

The company above, or one like it, might be the ticket. They're kinda like Carfax...but for bikes.
The Secretary Of State here in Mi. wants $11 per search, per vehicle, to run a check for you. If I can buy a subscription, and run them ALL, I think I'll be way ahead.

Hey Kirrbby I used vermont on several of my CT’s. The first thing they do is a 50 state title search.. if it shows up anywhere ( in someone’s name or stolen) they will just send you your check and form back so the most you would be out is a stamp..now is a good time because they waved the vin varifacition due to covid So it makes it much easier… all six bikes I did came back with new registration and a tag for one year.. I have a sample form here and know exactly were to fill in and what info they need so if you end up going that rout and need any help just give me a shout..

What did it cost you per bike? Also, what do you need to fill out? Did you ever try to email the application or go through the website?

i printed form VD119 off Vermonts DMV web site for free. it’s $48.00 plus a percent ( don’t remember the percent ) of what ever the nada is on the bike . Most bikes I did were a total of around $120. There a stickler on filling the form out right so you need to know how to fill the form out. I did get a few kicked back for not filling out correctly. When you get everything back you can run there tag for a year then go to your local dmv and they will turn it into real registration (title) for your state. Or you can renew it for another year or years in Vermont if you want..Vermont will give you a registration and tag for a little over $100 Depending on what it is….it works for old cars also.. anymore questions just ask..
