i have a set of 70's (mis judged the year one the newly gotten one. it seems) and ive been bored.lol i have decided to make a full offroad bike out of one by offroad i mean swamp enduro ect. not little dirt road a honda civic frequents.
well i have so far lightened the load on the newer bike taking signals, handles, mirrors ect. off. it was real beat up to begin with. i have fixed up the stock motor and am working on rejetting and putting in a k&n i already have. the stock trailwings are goign to be replaced (thanks for the idea racer x:ty with snow hogs tires for mud and all around traction.the stock suspension is going bye bye for now though ...racer x might kill me but i took my worn rear shox and am looking into drilling a hole like the fronts in the damper and threading it to refill with thicker oil for now...prob wont work but it might be worth it i doubt it but they are getting tossed anyways..but im working on a slightly taller shock setup with adjustable suspension.the motor is getting a mild upgrade with a few add ons for a little oomph and im getting a throttle twist grip as i cannot afford it to stick on hard sections. so far this bike rips just almost bone stock. just as a ref. to try out seafoam i used a small bit in my oil for a short term....it works well i changed the oil after 30 miles i took so much crud out of the engine! but anywho the bike looks very promising and im taking it basically stock to a hard enduro cross trail (practice run, basically time trials) sat ill post with findings but this is gonna be fun!
