Twillight Ride

Last night about 6:30pm I went for a ride to see the sun go down. I deceided to cut thru a freshly combined field of corn to discover a herd of deer about 10 to 15 in number. The deer all waved their tails at me as I continued thru the field. When I crossed the main road to climb to the highest spot in Blair for my 40 mile panoramic view I encountered some severe rutting from all the rain we have had in the last couple weeks. I successfully navigated this stretch with first gear and my feet as my balance points. When I reached the top of the hill I was greeted by a sunset that was as orange as my Copper Topaz Trail 70! :D As I was leaving, I traveled along the top of ridge only to discover that another herd of deer (20+) from down the hill had spotted me and "the herd came right at me" and I was actually riding my Trail 70!!! The deer had NO FEAR of me on my bike. So I stopped and let the deer get to within about 20 yards, they sniffed at me a little bit and walked off. Needless to say this was the best ride w/wildlife involved that I have ever had on my Trail 70! Just wanted to share. :)

Great ride! That's what's great about these bikes: their off-road capabilities. You can go anywhere on them, and not cause a huge ruckus. Rutty roads, fields, rocky terrain, water, tight tree paths, you can go all over. Oh, and you should take care that one of those deers isn't a rutting male.

Well Steampick, this time of year the deer get a little frisky (rut) So I'll make sure and not wear anything that makes me look like something they might want to "play" with! ;)
