What did you do to your Z50 today?

Sadly no pictures of Christmas Eve '69 but 50 years ago tonight I got what started a life long affliction....

After all the family's presents were opened my mom asked did you open everything? I think your missing something. She handed me a manila envelope with the keys and manual inside. Dad says that's all we could afford- then took me out to the garage where it was still in the car trunk. They even brought it in the house,here it sits today in the very same spot-

It was so nice out today 52 out, that I naturally had to take a spin- as opposed to last time waiting for 2 days since we were leaving on Christmas day to drive to Florida.

Still looking for 1st drive picture .....

My best friend got a blue one for his birthday in June of 69 so I had driven one many times before, sometimes 2 up as well. For some reason the first time driving off on my own bike I almost hit my mom,luckily she jumped out of the way. Here I am on Ft Myers beach area. Can't understand why a year later I had to replace all my wheel bearings
