I am proud to say... I need to revive this thread! I picked up an '82 Passport yesterday that is fairly complete for 200 bucks. Has 2670.4 miles on the odometer and a busted up legshield. Compression felt good and gas smelled like turpentine. Drained the gas that was in the tank, cleaned the plug, gave it a good shot of carb cleaner and it started on the 2nd kick! I have read stories like this but never understood until it happened to me! Jackpot baby! Picked up a new tube for the rear tire today and hope to give the tank and carb a good clean tomorrow with some fresh oil. Not sure what I'll do with this bike yet, but it should be fun for a couple months. I have dreams of flipping it for spending dough for a hot rod ct70 build I have been accumulating parts for, although... I hope the wife falls in love with it so we can keep it, i'm kinda torn already. How many bikes is too many again? Oh, and it is the Red version with, I think, spray painted black covers. Seems all the covers were white with the red bikes??
