i have a 1986 and 1987 xr100r i just bought...heres what irks me....aarrrrggg!
well i posted a cl add for a frame to fit a 40cc motor i had i was going to customize it for my sons whiny and chubby butt. for his 5th birthday next year well. i got a response unexpected. he had 2...TWO!!!!! xr100r....frames? no he said 2 running bikes......$1000 am i gonna go broke? nope he wanted $20 after waking up with my ice cream bowl on my head and on the floor o wrote back ok. he kept pushing and pushing "my son just rode it not too long ago.he out grew it" first of all his son rides a E-ton 90 4 wheeler???????? so how the hell in godly ct70's does this Charles dickens make sense? then its oh well the bikes are complete 1 day goes by ...another day "he recently rode it" and today "well i need it out of my yard for the fourth because its under my deck and he doesn't fit it." okay..... i went first he said over the phone its $40 okay more but not bad considering 2 running bikes man! even one junk heap goes for 200 for parts! i get there......................... he basically took every interchangeable part off of the xrs for his sons bike :shift levers clutch, flywheel, carb, tires ect. the pissant took three of the tires 2 rear, one front the rears he wanted the good tires and sprocket the front was a good tire in the pics. i found out he still had them when my son led me to them while checking out birds he had all tires rims....good cond. behind a shed half hidden. he had just removed them. the tire i had is dry rotted. i debated but then noticed the gas in one tank was fresh both motors had been run really recently he didn't tell me that thought. the seats are trashed but hey i thought $40 its not bad really.... and it isnt even thought he got my damn hopes flying high what could i expect for $40? but eh.my question while spell check ticks me off is where can i find a really low priced rear tire and rim and other parts? more looking for the rim. the 1986 is running and all there just needs the rear.
