Z50 Carb Main Jet Confusion

Hi,

Recently picked up two Z50's and went about cleaning both carbs tonight. One is a K4, the other a K5. At first look, the carbs look identical. Both marked 655A, but one is marked "MA", the other "KF". Bowls are the same, carb main body looks the same, floats and needle are the same, but when I get to the mains, there's a difference. Neither are threaded, but one is shorter and has a rubber O-ring that holds it in, marked with the Keihin symbol and is a "55". When looking through the carb, the opening is smaller, and it appears there's another smaller brass piece pressed in. The other carb has a longer removable tube with no markings of any kind. I've dug around a little bit but didn't find much. Is one design better than the other? I planned to keep one bike, and sell the other, putting the better carb on the keeper. I've attached a few pics below...thanks in advance!

Doh! I think I figured it out. Both carbs ARE the same, both have the longer emulsion tube, and one was simply missing the main jet. The guy said his kid tore the carb apart, and they never ran it after that. The carb actually wasn't even bolted on to the head. Looks like I need another main jet to get two functional carbs.

(If I'm wrong here, someone please correct me. I'm thinking I'm not, and should have thought a little harder before posting.)

I'm just missing one main jet. Are these still available from a local Honda shop or something? I dug around a bit online and didn't find much aside from complete carb rebuild kits (which isn't probably a bad idea, but for now I just wanted to get a jet).

I'm thinking just 1 jet online would be close to 10 shipped and the whole Magilla will be around 30. Go for the whole kit.

76 TO 78 main jet #58 is what those years called for $14.51 when it was available,is no longer available.

Thanks for the suggestions. These two are '74-'75 model years, which I'm assuming came with a #55 main, although the #58 would probably work. I'll dig around at lunch today.
