Bought a couple softail z50's (k3-78). One exhaust was rusted out but had a good stinger, the other is solid but had no stinger. No problem I will make one good exhaust out of the two. Of course easier said then done. The stinger is rusted in the bad one solid. I cut it open to get an x-ray view and assumed I would tap it out from the back side. That is not happening either. So the question is does anyone have a method of extraction? and/or how far does the stinger protrude into the exhaust so I can cut it behind that point.
