Why do the (1995ish) Z50r's have more power and torque than my Z50A?
MSZ Moderator Mar 22, 2008 #2 Because the 12V ignition systems are far superior to the old 6V points. The 12V engines also have shorter pistons (less weight) and a different crank rod configuration. Lastly, they aren't 35 years old.
