Z50R No Spark

Hi, I have a 1994 Honda Z50R that I bought for my kid. It has been sitting for 6 years it has no spark, they thought thats what happened when it was parked. I have order a manual but am anxious to get it going any ideas of what to check. Thank You.

Your bike has a CDI so there's no points and condensor to mess with. I'd start by checking all the grounds and see if the kill switch is hooked up or wired correctly. Remove the wiring to the kill switch and see if the bike fires up. If not, you are going to have to test the CDI, the coil and the stator assembly to narrow down your issue. I'd also install a new spark plug if you haven't done so already.

Thanks it started

I unplugged the 2 kill switch wires and the bike started right up, spark looks weak but it runs. Does it matter where the wires plug into the CDI wiring harness ?. It looks like its all the same. So what do I do to get the kill swich working?. thanks for the help:)
