    Sourcing for Lifan 125cc

Going to pull the trigger on a Lifan soon, either 125cc or 140cc. eBay is just shy of $300 and Amazon is $305. I could have swore they were closer to $225-$250. Where are you guys purchasing them from?

    xrarespares CDI longevity/reliability

I too am running an 88cc kit. After running WOT for more than a couple minutes, the bike stalls out. At this point I'm blaming electrical (points/condenser) or carb. However, I am running a relatively new Mikuni VM20 carb and have tried many jet combos. Still on the fence with a lifan or the cdi...

    xrarespares CDI longevity/reliability

I know many of the members here have tried this kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-CT70-ATC70-SS50-Z50-XL70-CDI-Electronic-Ignition-Free-Postage-Included-/360940998284?hash=item5409c28e8c:g:2qUAAOxyhS9TfchT&vxp=mtr Over 200 have sold in the last couple months so I'd assume there are a couple...

Large oil leak on CT70 H

Its odd... I parked the bike in November for storage and it ran flawlessly. I'll try again today seeing as though its 50° out. My hopes aren't too high- part #16 will be my next option. I just had the cover off last season, go figure. Is it likely that I could swap the seal without pulling the...

Large oil leak on CT70 H

Hi, I just pulled my 72 HK1 out of storage because of the nice weather up here in WI. I filled the gas tank, checked oil, etc. and it fired up on the second kick. I let it sit for 30 seconds or so, when a small oil leak started. I thought it may have been from when I checked the oil, so I put it...

    CT70 HK1 trans/clutch problem

Will do. Its 97 degrees here in Milwaukee WI so I'll either wait until tonight or I'll do it in the house. The clutch lever feels like it always has. The star washer seems likely at this point.

If you are talking about the star on the shift drum, that's a negative.

    More electrical issues

In the second ON position, the tail light should be dim. If you hit the pedal it should get bright. My guess would be the wrong key switch or a short. Have you been popping fuses? Check all connections in headlight?

    CT70 HK1 trans/clutch problem

I'll try to describe this as best as I can. Another case of the "I loaned my bike to a friend and now it has so-and-so problems." The trail he was on is fairly small, not exceeding 20 mph or so. By the way, he sucks at driving manual if that matters. Anywho, he returned it, and simply said "it...

Help diagnosing problem on 1974 CT70

I'll check all of the recommendations tomorrow morning (12 am right now, cant run it anyways). I believe it was racerx who mentioned the starter slippage. If you kick it hard, it'll slip. If you kick it slow, it wont. I had to put the head back on so there's a chance I skipped a tooth on the cam...

Help diagnosing problem on 1974 CT70

I recently got a 1974 Ct70 project. Got her running the next day and noticed a few problems. I have tried two carbs, and the bike will run with either. The OEM one will be getting a rebuild soon. Anyways, when the bike is stopped, I can rev the motor up fairly high. I then shift into first, and...
