Hey everyone I’ve attached a pic of the Honda micro film (I think that what it’s called) and I would like to know the name of part 3. They are a cover for the front forks but I’m not sure the exact name. Also where could I find these to replace on my K1? The original ones are dented and rusted pretty bad. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything and all the help this forum has provided.

That's a K1 lower fork tube cover. Good luck finding an NOS specimen. They probably exist, can't recall the last time I ran across one. OTOH, used original specimens are not rare...ebay is the most plentiful source of listings.

Really, as restoration projects go, these aren't all that difficult to massage back into shape...unless they're really mangled. On a 1-10 scale of difficulty, I'd rate an "average" example with a few minor dents and a fair amount of surface rust a "6".

I just looked for good used specimens on ebay, and it seems they are getting harder to find. At least this is something that should pop up from time to time.

Ebay. They pop up time to time. If you absolutely have to have a set, you can pony up for a complete k1 front fork and try to sell the rest.

Good to know OLD CT, that’s exactly what I was fixing to do. I’ll set a notification and maybe be lucky to find a set.

Tripod's suggestion may be even better than you think. I've rarely seen these covers with rust perforations. If there was enough moisture to do that, there's a fair chance that the inner forks legs are rusty, too. Finding another fork assembly will allow you to keep the best pieces, keep a spare piece or two and sell the rest.

I would definitely want to get a look under those spring covers before deciding what all to replace. If you haven't done it yet, maybe plan to get a look before you start buying. It's not uncommon to find rust in the area where the inner legs pass thru the seal. Also, sometimes the chrome will be worn off in that area. If you find that everything looks ok, I probably have some spring covers with no, or minimal damage for you...if color doesn't matter.
