1969 CT90 KA Oddball Carb

Howdy y'all, first time posting!

I'm working on getting my mother's 69 ct90 up and running. It sat on and off for a good 20 years but was under cover the whole time. Still, things degrade and I'm currently focused on getting the carburetor working.

This things got the KA oddball 4-screw carb (Pictures attached), which I've taken a first pass at cleaning up thinking I would just rebuild it. Ordered some gaskets and such from Dr. ATV on ebay since his store is down, but as I was cleaning, one of the towers that holds the float snapped. This combined with the general degredation of the carb makes me want to replace the entire thing, either with NOS or a repro, but I cannot for the life of me find one anywhere.

Does anyone know about either where to find one of these carbs or alternatively, converting the bike to use a different and more common carb.

Thanks!

The tiny passages in that carb could possibly be blocked anyway with all that crystallization/deterioration going on. Email dratv, I see a ct90 replacement for 49.95 on ebay from him. Ethanol free gas is a good idea also, from now on.

Absolutely thought that as well. Is that pock-marking and "calcium" buildup caused by ethanol in old gas?

I went round and round with the crappy four screw carb, even posted a thread on it.

I replaced mine with a k2 carb and intake.

If you're not concerned with keeping it original, go with whatever dratv recommended.

I just pulled one of those out of a box I had and wondered the same thing. T90D marking.
It think it is off an early ct90.

Any of the Chinese PZ19 carbs with the choke lever on the riders left side should work and be jetted close to correct. You might need a spacer between the manifold and the carb on some of these to reach the air cleaner.

That deterioration/crust could also be from someone's repeatedly blasting carb cleaner in there in an attempt to start with no luck. A carb sitting full of carb cleaner is not a good thing.

The s90 has a choke that lifts perpendicular to the carb. I think those pics are from a ct90 k0 66 to 68. Same as my k0 anyway, from what I can see. I never had a 69 but seems like it'd be the same carb, esp since it's a 4 screw.

If the k2 carb fits as tripod suggests I guess things might be all reversed with the choke on the right instead of the left since it faces air to the rear and not the front. But if it works then it works. <-- edit, I see from the OPs pics now that its a rear facing carb... derned 69s

A carb from any ct90 should volt up to the 69. I personally have a 69ct 90 I'm restoring, and the carb was in about the same condition. I threw it in the ultrasonic cleaner for a while, and it came out pretty well. I am still going to rebuild mine after cleaning it

The intake manifold is different for a k1 and k2 carb.
