Hello. I am going to take a look at this CT70 tomorrow morning: Honda Trail 70 mini bike It looks like a 1976 model. The seller said it isn't missing anything other than the obvious headlight and turn signal cover from the pics. Is it worth $200? Should I buy it and restore it or should I buy it and try to resell it as is for a profit? I will definently offer the guy less than $200. I have always liked these older honda 50s and 70s but I have never owned one and would like to have one. I know some of them are worth big money but Im not sure which ones are worth big money. I have the skills to do a complete restoration if its worth the time and money. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Andy

A lot more missing than you mentioned. I think it could be parted out for less than you get it for but, it will take a lot of work to sell the pieces separately. For the price it might be worth the risk to restore or sell.

Make sure you ask for the carb and airbox(air filter), check the engine for compression and see if the electrical system is intact. Good luck.

The seller said he had the carb for it. It looks like the grips are missing too. The seat is ripped up. What are the other parts that you noticed are missing? Sorry, Im a newb when it comes to these bikes. I own a couple of china clone pit bikes and quads that I goof off on. I think will buy this bike if it doesn't need anything more than cosmetic parts. If all the mechanical stuff like the engine, compression, trans, cables, bearings, levers, brakes, footpegs, clutch, suspension, ignition, wiring etc are there and in good working condition, I can get it running and riding in no time. Then, I would probably get a new seat cover, lights etc and get it looking and working as good as I could and then resell it. Any more info is awesome!

Personally, I'd sell the Chinese clone junk and put what money you can get for them into a Honda..When you have real Honda quality under you you will never go near the Chinese JUNK again.
