So here's the total I paid for mine. Funny. I had the salesman send me the total amount I should bring in as I was bringing cash and he sent me this invoice. When I saw the 'ADM 750' I had to Google it, and then I texted him back and asked him about it. He said. It's what I'd already quoted you in the past. He never said anything about it though.

Love that "Additional Dealer Markup". At least that's an honest view of what it is. Auto dealers have other names which must be translated. I went to look at the new Kia Carnival and they had $3495 in "Adjusted Market Value" on the dealer generated sticker.

So, let me try to understand lawmakers. They charge for tire recycling on a new vehicle. When you go to a tire installer, are they charging that fee again on the same tires?

Here in Oklahoma....Yep!!!

I even took my used tires for another vehicle and they STILL charged me.

Here is California there's a fee for everything. There's a fee when you buy paint at Home Depot. There's a recycling fee when you buy motor oil. And of course when you buy tires there's a recycling fee, besides the tire disposal fee. The tire recycler charges the tire dealer 35 cents last time i checked for each old tire they pick up, and the tire dealer charges you $3. Back before Covid, I would go out to eat at Norm's and ordered a breakfast special and there was a $2 misc dine in fee on the bill.

My son is moving from Arizona to the east. Thanks to states like California, he sold his home before officially putting it on the market at a 140% gain. The seller's market is going through the roof.

I haven't paid any tire fees because I buy tires from discount tire direct and installed them at work. I change my own oil that I buy at Walmart and any town in any state recycling yard I have lived in accepts the old oil/tires ''2 per day'' no charge. They can SELL IT, bio fuel in commercial furnaces and green oil! Tires will be shredded and used for mulch. California isn't called the land of fruits and nuts for nothing!

Fruits and nuts is right. We try and beat the system whenever we can, but So Cal traffic is the worst. Fortunately I survived over 30 years of lanesplittling, and now that I'm retired and no longer have to commute. I live for Sunday mornings when the roads are clear, and I keep my Harley in case I really need to get somewhere in LA. Otherwise, I'm happy just putting on these little bikes with friends and relatives.
